1. Rose, Dorothy, Blanche, and Sophia from The Golden Girls

Roommates definitely aren’t just for 20-somethings.These four women have lived life to the fullest thanks to dating, vacations gone amok and cheesecake and, at the end of the day, they’re always there for one another. The golden years must be the new 30s.

2. Kimmy and Titus from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

As Titus helps Kimmy adjust to a new life in New York City, he definitely adds a lot of flair. The two are absolute best friends, and they have a great relationship. Both encourage one another to chase their dreams and succeed.

3. Nick and Schmidt from New Girl

Nick and Schmidt are roommate soulmates. They have lived together since college and are the perfect ying yang duo. Schmidt keeps the loft clean and stylish, while Nick spends his time making sure Schmidt is emotionally stable.

4. Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street

Sharing your space is never easy, luckily Bert and Ernie set a great example for kids on how to be great roommates. Although Bert can be a bit of a grouch, he still cares about Ernie and the two get along very well.

5. Sherlock Holmes and John Watson from Sherlock

Although Sherlock Holmes might seem like an insufferable roommate, he and Watson work very well together. They’re very in sync with one another, and they accept each other’s idiosyncrasies. What more could you want from a roommate?

6. Finn and Jake from Adventure Time.

There’s nothing better than a boy and his dog. Especially when his dog cooks amazing food for him. As these two heroes save the Land of Ooo, they get to come home and play video games with their best friend/roommate.
