The highlight of Al’s is their outdoor dining area that features a large covered patio and gazebo.

Every college campus needs a hometown bookstore, and Snoozy’s is just that. When you walk in, it is obvious you are in Blazer country because green is plastered all over the walls and the decor features the blazer mascot, aka Blaze the dragon. Snoozy’shas everything the new student, fan or Birmingham native would want — especially if your favorite color is Blazer green.

Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center is a highlight of UAB’s campus. The line-up of shows is always impressive, and the students that act in the shows are always on point. This fall, the UAB Department of Theatre is producing Vinegar Tom and You Can’t Take It With YouThe Alys Stephens Center also hosts live performances by world-renowned singers and orchestras in addition to multicultural festivals.
