Mother’s Day is all about celebrating moms and mother figures everywhere with good food and fun times. Let Mom have a day off and pamper her the way she deserves. If you’re celebrating Mother’s Day in Mobile, AL, here are five ways to make your mother’s day.

Bellingrath Gardens is hosting an evening concert in Live Oak Plaza. The Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra will provide the music. Families can either bring their own seating or purchase a table. Visitors will be able to purchase snacks and beverages, but you can also bring a picnic dinner to enjoy. The concert takes place at 5:30 on Sunday, May 12th.
Take Mom out for a festive night she won’t forget on Perdido Queen’s two-and-a-half-hour dinner cruise. The ship has live music, dancing, a viewing platform, and a buffet-style dinner with multiple entree options. The Perdido Queen highly recommends reservations for this unique event, as space is limited. So call ahead and book a spot!
Show your mother just how much she means to you with a meal at Dauphin’s, one of Mobile’s finest restaurants. Their Sunday brunch options like Oysters Bienville or Beignets á la Dauphin’s offer a delicious meal that shows the love in Southern cooking with every bite.
For some moms, there’s nothing like quality time to make them feel loved and appreciated. That’s why this virtual Mother’s Day 5k and 10k is a great way to celebrate. You can run or walk a virtual race from anywhere, so head to the Bay and make it a day out. Participants receive a medal that reads “All that I am or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother”: a quote from Abraham Lincoln.
If you can’t celebrate Mother’s Day on May 12, clear a spot on May 3 or 4. The Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival occurs that weekend. The Festival holds balloon rides in addition to arts and crafts vendors. Take a day to make Mom’s life as magical as she’s made yours.
