Halloween is right around the corner. Here are five ways to get into the Halloween spirit in Birmingham. There’s something for everyone, from date night to a girls’ day out. Get out there and get your spook on!

  1.  Old Baker Farm

Each October, the Baker family invites locals to their farm. There, you can enjoy their cotton patch, corn maze, hay and horse rides. And, of course, you can pick the perfect carving pumpkin to take home. Fall Harvest Hours begin September 30 through October 31st. You can also enjoy the Cotton Pickin’ Celebration on October 28-29th. Admission is $10 and includes a pumpkin.

    Birmingham Ghost Tours.2.   Birmingham Historic Touring Company’s Ghost Walk

Walk amongst the ghosts of Birmingham this October with the Birmingham Historic Touring Company. Two different tours cover the dark history of Birmingham, starting in the origins of the city going through the 1960s. The tours are $20 and take just over two hours.   1.   Sloss Fright Furnace

Sloss Fright Furnace is one of Birminghams spookiest Halloween attractions. Starting on September 29th, Sloss Fright Furnace will offer two terrifying tour experiences. You’ll also find a plethora of other haunted entertainment. Admission is $20 during the week. On the weekends and on Halloween, admission is $25. Buy tickets and find more information here.

  1.   ATROX Factory: Industrial Strength HorrorHaunted Houses in Birmingham.

ATROX Factory in Leeds, AL is home to Alabamas largest indoor horror attraction. The factory fills 50,000 square feet with twisting hallways and terrifying encounters. The Factory opens on September 29th. Admission is $20 cash or check only. Find more information or buy tickets here.

  1.   Birmingham Fire and Rescue Halloween Costume Party

This annual bash benefits the BFRS holiday toy drive. It takes place October 21st from 7-11pm. The $10 admission includes hors doeuvres. Admission pays for inclusion in the costume contest as well.
